Holiday Party : Dress Guide
You know Holiday season has begun when the Holiday party invites go out!
I am really looking forward to my company’s holiday party, which is in about a week. I have never worked at a company that had an actual holiday party, so I am pretty excited to get dressed up and enjoy the evening. This will be more of a cocktail dress event, so now I have been racking the internet for inspiration of what to wear.
A few trends stood out to me, while I was surfing through all my favourite stores sites, these are some of my fav dresses I found from each of them. I have picked dresses from ranging price points, cuz c’mon we all don’t have the same budget for a holiday dress!
I would say the most popular trend for holiday dresses this year is Sequins!! Nothing says holiday time like sparkling sequins!
I love the colour of this sequined dress from H&M. I also like the look of the skirt/top pairing, instead of one plain streamline look. This would definitely be a dress I would have to try on before ordering. Plus with it being sleeveless, I would have to think of a jacket to go with it, to wear it to a company party.
When you think of Christmas colours of course you think of red and green! Now, I’m not sure if I would wear this colour dress, but I love the ombre look of the sequins. You can find it here.
I love the colour and cut of this dress! Totally covered in the front, with a sexy, draped open back! Of course, I would not wear this to an office work party, but any other holiday party.. for sure! You can find it here.
This sequined dress is a very classis silhouette. It’s totally office party appropriate and given its a long sleeve, you won’t have to worry about wearing a jacket or cover all night. It does have a deep V cut back, which adds a bit of sexiness to it. You can check out the back and other pics of this dress here.
A current holiday trend of white dresses is one I love! A white dress is clean, classy and exudes major confidence! Plus, it reminds me of a nice snowy Christmas morning!
I like this white ribbed cold-shoulder dress from H&M for a few reasons. Its totally appropriate for an office party, the cold-shoulder style is a huge trend right now and best of all it can totally been worn more than once, or twice! It also comes in a beige colour, you can check them both out here.
I love the draping of this white sequined dress, and what’s even better is the limited-time price! It usually retails for $198.00 but for a limited time it’s on sale for $90.00 Check out their site to pick up this dress while it’s on sale!
This white cold-shoulder dress from Marciano is a “dressier” version compared to the first one I highlighted from H&M. This is a bandage style, rather than a ribbed fabric. Good news, this dress is on sale for a limited time for $80. Regularly retailing at $178.00, that’s a great price.
One of the biggest trends this fall, that I never thought I would wear.. but LOVE is velvet. As kids, velvet dresses were always the “go to” for Christmas parties, so it only makes sense that they have made a comeback this season!
This draped dress from H&M isn’t so much a holiday colour, but if you aren’t looking to stand out with a bright colour dress, at least the Navy blue has a softer look to it then a black dress. Plus this cut and silhouette are perfect for an office party.
This red velveteen dress from Forever 21 is super cute and at a great price for only $20! It’s too short for an office party, but a great steal for any other holiday party.
This burgundy crushed velvet dress from M for Mendocino is perfect for a holiday party, unfortunately their site doesn’t have the prices on it.
When I think of holiday colours, what come to mind is red, green, gold, silver and everything sparkling! These dresses definitely fall into that category.
I really like this red choker dress from Forever 21. The length is office party appropriate, but the off the shoulder cut gives it a hint of sexiness. I love the choker detail of the dress, since we all know how much the choker trend has come back in! Plus the price is great for this dress!
I like the halter cut of this dress from H&M and I really like the detailing in the back. Being that it’s sleeveless, this is another dress I would need to think of a jacket/cover option for if I were to wear it to an office party.
The great coverage, length, and colour make this dress from Marciano a good pick for an office holiday party , plus it has long sleeves!
I really like the asymmetrical off-the-shoulder neckline of this red bandage dress from Marciano.
I really like the subtle sequin detailing on this green dress from H&M. I also like the fact it is long sleeve.
This silver draped dress from H&M is the exact same cut and style as the navy blue velvet dress I mentioned above. I like the sparkling silver of this dress for the holiday season.
The last look I am highlighting in the post is the gown dresses. These are super luxurious, classy and perfect for a more formal holiday party.
This red bandage gown from Marciano screams fancy holiday party!
This lightweight plum gown from Urban Planet has a criss-cross back and is a steal for $49.95. It also comes in black.
I love this silver/grey velvet strapless gown from M for Mendocino. Super elegant!
This red belted gown from M for Mendocino has a high slit that adds some extra sexiness!
