My Fitness Journey

Hey Dolls!

If you have been following my blog, and my Instagram accounts (@ms.fashionandmoore & @ms.fitnessandmoore) then you know I have developed quite a love for fitness and been on my own fitness journey.

My fitness journey really began after I had my son, and I realized how unhealthy I was living before I was pregnant. February 2015, after my son was born, I did the #FitGirlsGuide 28DayJumpstart program, which I loved! It taught me so much about clean eating and portion control, and the workouts were 30 mins a day. I lost all my baby weight plus more, and began eating so much better. You can check out my post about the program here, including my before and after pics 🙂

Once I completed the program, I began trying to find the perfect balance for my lifestyle between eating right and working out. A lot was going on and in all honesty, I fell off a little bit, and noticed I was gaining some of the weight back. In February of this year I began doing HIIT workouts at home. I would do these 5-6 days a week for about an hour a day. These were awesome, I was sweating like a pig and feeling great!! The only downfall was, even though I was shedding fat and calories, I wasn’t really building muscle. RESULYTS.PNG

I joined the gym in March, and have never looked back! When I joined I wasn’t working, so I would drop Amare off at daycare and go to the gym, so I was weight training 5 days a week. Once I began working at my current job, near the end of April, I wasn’t able to get to the gym as often.. but like “they” say “if it is important to you, you will make time for it”. Luckily, my company has a corporate account with Goodlife, so I was able to transfer my membership over and start going to the gym right across the street from my office! 🙂 Now I go every day before work.

Over the past few weeks, a lot of people from friends, co workers, and even strangers on social media have been asking me what types of exercises I do, etc. I decided I am going to be adding some posts to my blog with my current workout routine, fitness tips, and more healthy recipes and snacks for all of you on your own fitness journey!
