Carnival Party & Celebration Dinner

Hey dolls!

This past weekend was so busy, but so much fun!

Saturday we celebrated my nephew’s 2nd birthday at his Carnival themed party.

My sister in law & brother in law did an awesome job with the decorating, food and activities for the kids.

“Burger” cupcakes

The kids had so much fun in the bouncy castle, as you can see! lol

I went for a cute and casual “park friendly” outfit, which meant no heels! lol (a rare occurrence) I wore a grey high waisted skirt, with side splits, from H&M, paired with a white tied crop top from Forever21. My sandals are from Michael Kors. This was the perfect outfit for this occasion 🙂 What do you guys think?

After the birthday party, I met with my mom to drop Amare off with her, for a sleepover. Saturday night, I took my man out for dinner and drinks to celebrate his recent University graduation!

We went to Cactus Club Cafe in downtown Toronto. For our starters, we had the calamari, which was fried with peppers, jalepenos, topped with dill and served with tzatziki and chipotle aioli and we also shared the spicy chicken; small chicken bites in a sweet chili glaze, topped with crispy wontons and green onions.

We both had the Creole Steak & Prawns; 9oz certified angus beef sirloin, cajun spices, spicy creole butter, white wine sauteed creole jumbo prawns, buttered mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus! (even writing that description made me want to eat it again!) Our meal’s were so good, the mashed potatoes were creamy, the spices were amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly!

After we finished dinner, we went to the Cactus Club rooftop patio for some drinks and dancing.

It was great to get out and have a break from mommy-daddy life and enjoy eachother!

I wore a blue dress and cream vest from M for Mendocino. Which, on a side note, is now one of my fav stores! 🙂 My heels are from Lola Shoetique.

Blooper shots .. at least my outfit is on point ❤

Havin a lil fun 😉

Sunday, I went to my moms house to pick up Amare and spent the day there with my parents and siblings 🙂

Overall it was a great weekend filled with nice weather, family fun, and a great night out! What did you do this weekend?
